Whether you want to be on the stage or work behind the scenes, you’ll thrive in our Department of Theatre.
In our performance major, you’ll learn how to dig into the script and perfect your craft on stage. Theatre production students will learn about operations on both sides of the curtain, from production stage management and scenery installation to patron services. Theatre studies students are immersed in the literature of theatre and the world of audience development and dramaturgy, a new and growing field in the theatre profession.

There are four main stage productions each year, including a student-directed show and a major musical, and six second stage productions

We offer a second stage season-experimental, edgy and fueled by students’ artistic desires
